What Is a Cooperative Ministry?
The
Reverend Jeffrey Salley is the pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, and
the director of the Bennettsville-Cheraw Area Cooperative Ministries. Salley is
actively involved as a clergy member of the South Carolina Annual Conference of
the United Methodist Church. He has
served as the District Registrar for the Walterboro Committee on Ordained
Ministry. Currently, Reverend Salley serves as the chair of the Marion District
Committee on Ordained Ministry as well as a member of the Academy of Pastoral & Theological
Enrichment Planning Committee, Marion District; chairperson, Scholarship
Committee for the South Carolina Annual Conference Board of Ordained Ministry,
a member of the Bible Study Committee, and a member of the Committee on
Conference Relations. Reverend Salley also serves as a mentor to several clergy
members and candidates for ministry.
Reverend Salley is an ordained Elder in the
United Methodist Church who patterns his life based on John Wesley’s philosophy
of life, “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways
you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people
you can, as long as ever you can.”
